It\u2019s a versatile trend that fits in with virtually any form of decor, and every single one created is unique thanks to the memories behind each photo. Today, we\u2019ve put together some top tips on creating your very own Pinterest-worthy photo wall, so that you can display your favourite memories with ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: Build Up Your Collection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Building a photo wall can take time, particularly if you\u2019re doing it bit by bit. While there\u2019s no right or wrong way to start, if you\u2019re going to be mixing different image sizes, consider building up a bit of a collection first. Having just one large and one small photo next to each other on an otherwise empty wall might look a little alien to start out with for example, so make sure you have enough photos to put together a decent patch to get started. If you\u2019re aiming for images of the same size, such as square tiles, this makes things a bit easier as everything will look more in proportion – something worth considering if you know you\u2019re going to be adding to your wall over time. 3: Protect Your Walls<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is one particular to bear in mind if you live in a rented property! Back in the day, the only way to hang photos and frames on the wall was with a hammer and nails, but of course this was at the expense of our walls. When creating a photo wall, using a hammer and nails is great, but there\u2019s more room for error when it comes to getting the images aligned and spaced out equally. In addition, if you live in a rented property, you may not be permitted to put nails in the walls. This one is completely down to personal preference, but there are a few things you can consider before you make up your mind. If you\u2019re going for frames of a certain colour, consider whether you\u2019re likely to be changing your decor at any point, as you\u2019ll want to go for something that\u2019s unlikely to clash – this is why it can be a good idea to go for neutral colours just in case. If you\u2019re using all the same frames in your display, perhaps buy a few extra than you need in case you plan to add to your wall later – the last thing you want is to discover a particular style or colour is no longer available!
